Late October - Fun News

BabyGirl is going to be a Bumble Bee for Halloween. I'm off to the fabric store today to buy the tulle to make a yellow/black tutu to go with her black leotard, yellow/black striped tights, and yellow Bee Wings.

This will be my VERY FIRST sewing project for BabyGirl. Yay!

At different times in my life I've been an avid seamstress. I even paid my way through my Masters degree (in accounting and technology no less) by running a small upholstery business with a friend. I haven't done much sewing for the last few years. Part of that was because of the whole living in the 'mala for 16 months -- but I've been home for 7 months and haven't jumped back into it yet.

So it will be fun to dust off the old machine and fire it up.

Plus, I can't wait to see how cute BabyGirl is as a Bumble Bee at her preschool party tomorrow night. Yes, you caught me. I waited until the day before the party to get started on the tutu. But I bought the wings, tights, and leotard over a month ago. So it wasn't all procrastination. Right?

I'll post the Bumble Bee pics ASAP for you all to enjoy.
