Eliana's DNA testing is complete!!!

We are SOOOO excited to learn that Eliana had her DNA taken on October 13th! WhooHoooo! To make it even better, the information from and about her birth mom was wonderful.

Eliana has seven siblings. Her birth mom was able to keep the first six, but placed her 7th child, a little boy, up for adoption four years ago. We received photos of Eliana's birth mom, with a huge smile on her face, while holding Eliana. Her birth mom also sent a very loving message for Eliana (when she's older of course) saying that she loves Eliana and will always carry her in her soul.   

We were also happy to learn her birth mom would like to receive occasional pictures of Eliana over the years! Some birth moms request future contact and others don't. We were really hoping hat Eliana's birth mom would request contact. So, this was welcomed news!

Lastly, we are reassured by the fact that Eliana's birth mom has been through an adoption placement before. She knows how the process works, interviews and all. She didn't change her mind last time, so she probably won't change it this time. And if there were any major problems with her birth certificate or other documents they hopefully would have caught and corrected them last time. We're hoping this bodes well for Eliana to sail through the adoption process and be finalized closer to the four month mark than the eight month mark!

Now, let's just hope the ball keeps rolling and Eliana's case gets into Family Court very soon!
