Eliana, with red and white ribbons in her hair, runs into her preschool classroom this morning, waving a small American flag and yells "OH - MAMMA!!" to her classmates. Thus, our new president was celebrated in Mrs. Irma's two-year olds' class. read more...
Since getting home from the service trip last month, I've spent every spare moment programming a new website for the Mayan Families organization. Our goal has been to get it up in time for this year's big student sponsorship drive. It's been a labor of love, and I'm thrilled that it's finally up and running... but boy am I exhausted!
And I am oh-so-ready to refocus my attention back on Gary and BabyGirl. read more...
I made it through the week in Guatemala and arrived home with a bazillion things to get done! Tomorrow we start the first leg of a 12 hour dirve to Chicago with BabyGirl. I plan to use some of the car time to catch you all up on my trip and after trip activites. read more...
Leaving Tulsa yesterday morning was SO HARD. I thought BabyGirl would be asleep (as she SHOULD have been at 6am). But she was awake... and sick... and miserable. When she saw Angela and me put on our coats, she ran over, wrapped her arms around my leg and said "no coat - no coat mamma - no coat - peeese" It was enough to break any mother's heart. read more...
